Receptli Terms of Use

Effective from 17 September 2026 — version 2026-09-17. English translation; the Slovak version is the original. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected by the translation.

1. Provider and scope

The Receptli app ("Receptli" or "the service") is provided by OnIT s. r. o., company ID 55 010 903, registered office Ľudovíta Fullu 3012/6, 841 05 Bratislava — Karlova Ves, Slovakia, entered in the Commercial Register of the Bratislava III City Court, section Sro, insert 164718/B ("we").

Contact for the service, complaints and withdrawal: support@onit.sk, telephone +421 918 676 679 and the postal address above.

These terms govern the use of the Receptli mobile app for iOS and Android and its server: storing recipes, importing them from photos, PDFs, links and text with AI help, step-by-step cooking, meal planning, the shopping list and sharing within a household. They do not replace the terms of the App Store or Google Play through which you buy a subscription, nor the privacy policy, which is a separate document.

2. Who may use Receptli

Receptli is for adults only. Before first use you confirm that you are at least 18. Without this confirmation AI import does not start. If you are under 18, do not use Receptli.

An account is created by signing in with an e-mail code: we send a six-digit code to your address, valid for 10 minutes. We do not use passwords. You can also sign in with Apple or Google. Signing in with Apple or Google uses that provider's identifier; an e-mail address alone never merges two accounts.

After sign-in the device receives an access token valid for 15 minutes and a refresh token that expires after 30 days of inactivity and at the latest after 90 days. You can sign out in the app. Protect access to your e-mail inbox: whoever controls it can sign in to your account.

You use the account for your own, non-commercial purposes. One account belongs to one person.

3. What Receptli does and does not do

From your photos, PDFs, links to web pages and Instagram or TikTok posts, or from pasted text, Receptli prepares a recipe draft: ingredients, quantities, steps, an estimate of servings and times. You always review and edit the draft before saving. You can also write a recipe by hand without AI.

You search saved recipes, cook from them with timers, add them to the meal plan and build a shopping list from them. Recipes, the meal plan and the shopping list belong to your household (section 4).

AI makes mistakes. A draft may contain wrong quantities, missing steps, wrong times or values marked as estimates. The app flags uncertain values but does not catch everything. Before cooking, especially with allergies, diets, medical restrictions or when cooking for children, check the result against the original source. Labels such as "vegetarian" or "gluten-free" are your classification, not a guarantee of composition. Receptli provides no nutritional, health or medical advice.

At the time you accept these terms Receptli is in closed beta (TestFlight, Google Play Internal Testing). Some features change or may be temporarily unavailable; we inform you about material changes (section 10).

4. Household

Every account is always a member of exactly one household. A new account receives its own single-person household. A household has at most 5 members: one owner and up to four members.

An invitation is a code valid for 7 days that the owner shares at their own discretion; it is not tied to a particular e-mail. It can be accepted only by a signed-in person who has confirmed being 18, is the only member of their own free household, and whose household has no active subscription. If the invitee has saved recipes, on joining they explicitly choose to move them into the new household or delete them. Their previous household is dissolved.

Leaving and removal. A member can leave the household at any time; they receive a new free single-person household and may take copies of the recipes they authored. Recipes, the meal plan and the shopping list stay with the household. The owner may remove a member; a removed member receives no copies. An owner who wants to leave or delete their account must first transfer ownership to another member or, if alone, dissolve the household. Auto-renewal of the subscription must be switched off before ownership is transferred (section 7).

Household content is private. A recipe leaves a household only as an independent copy via a share link (section 6) or when a member leaves. The copy carries the author's name, contains no original source files, and later edits are not propagated between copies.

5. AI import

AI import is an optional feature that you enable with a separate consent that you can withdraw at any time in the app ("Privacy & AI"). Without it no source is sent to the AI provider; you write recipes by hand.

On import we send the selected source — photos, PDF pages, text downloaded from a link, the text and video of a social media post, or pasted text — to the AI provider Google (Gemini API), which returns a structured draft. Instagram and TikTok posts are read for us by Apify; it receives only the cleaned link to the post. A link to an ordinary web page is fetched by our own server. We delete the source files within 24 hours after you save or discard the draft. Details of exactly what is sent and how long it is kept are in the privacy policy.

Technical limits (may change): at most 8 files and 15 MB in total per import; a post video of at most 3 minutes; at most 20 link imports per hour per account. If the service-wide daily AI budget reaches its cap, new imports pause until the next day; a failed attempt does not reduce your allowance.

6. Your content, rights to it and prohibited use

Upload to Receptli only content you have the necessary rights to use privately: your own notes, pages of books and magazines you own, screenshots and links you may use. You are responsible for ensuring that importing and storing content does not infringe copyright or other people's rights. Keep copies from protected sources for your own household only and share only what you are allowed to share.

Photos of notebooks and pages may contain other people's personal data (names, handwriting, notes). Remove or crop unnecessary data before uploading.

We claim no ownership of or unlimited licence to your content. We process it only to provide the explained features: storage, the AI draft, display to members of your household and to recipients of your share link, and backups. We do not use it for advertising, for training our own models, and we do not sell it.

A recipe share link is valid for 7 days and can be opened by anyone you send it to or who receives it from them. The recipient sees the title, ingredients, method, recipe photo and your display name (the part of your e-mail address before "@") and can save an independent copy. Share only recipes you are allowed to distribute.

It is prohibited to: circumvent limits, permissions or payments; access other households or data; bulk-download or automatically scrape third-party sites through our service; upload unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights; disrupt the service. In case of serious or repeated breach we may restrict or block the account (section 10).

7. Free household, subscription and limits

Free household Monthly subscription Annual subscription
Price €0 €1.99 / month €19.99 / year
Recipes at most 5 unlimited unlimited
Successful AI drafts 5 for the household's lifetime 50 per month 500 per year
Source pages for AI unlimited 100 per month 1,000 per year

Prices include VAT for Slovakia; in other countries the store converts and displays them. The price shown in the App Store or Google Play before you confirm the purchase is decisive. There is no free trial and no promo codes. You cannot buy extra imports beyond the allowance.

One subscription for the whole household. Only the household owner buys the subscription, in the App Store or Google Play, and it applies to all members on both iOS and Android. The AI draft and page allowances are pooled across the household with no per-person split. A successful draft consumes one draft and as many pages as the source has (a link, pasted text or a post = 1 page). A failed technical attempt does not consume allowance. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next period.

Apple and Google Family Sharing is switched off for Receptli. Family is handled by the household in the app. A member who wants their own subscription first leaves the household and buys it in their own new household. One account never has two subscriptions.

The store is the seller. The subscription is sold and charged by the store operator (Apple or Google) under its terms; we never receive your payment card details. The entitlement is activated in the app only once the store confirms the purchase to us. For a pending purchase (for example parental approval or slow card verification) the entitlement starts only after the payment completes.

Automatic renewal. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the period at the same price until you turn renewal off in the subscription settings of your Apple ID or Google Play account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Turning renewal off does not take away the period already paid. A price increase is announced in advance by the store; if the store requires your consent, without it the higher price is not charged and the subscription does not renew. You switch between monthly and annual in the store.

Failed payment and refunds. If renewal fails, the store retries the payment and the subscription stays active during this grace period; if the payment ultimately fails, the household is locked. Refunds are assessed and issued by the store under its rules; after a refund the household is locked.

Managing the subscription. You manage the subscription in the store where you bought it. If you bought it on an iPhone and use Android (or the other way round), the app tells you where to manage it. Uninstalling the app, leaving the household and deleting your account do not cancel the subscription in the store — cancel it in the store yourself.

Restoring a purchase on a new device works within the same household. A purchase bound to one household cannot be moved to another.

8. Locked household and basic export

When the paid period ends without renewal the household is locked regardless of how many recipes it holds. In a locked household you cannot open, search, edit or sync recipes, cook, plan, build a shopping list, share or import. Three things remain available: basic export, subscription management and account deletion. Renewing the subscription restores everything. A member of a locked household can leave it and take copies of their own recipes.

Basic export is a machine-readable copy of your household's recipes in a single JSON file that you save or send from the app via the system share sheet. It contains no photos, presentation, search, cooking or planning. It is available to every household, including a locked one, for data portability.

We keep a locked household so that you can come back; the retention and deletion rules are in the privacy policy.

9. Withdrawal and complaints

You are a consumer buying digital content through the App Store or Google Play. You exercise the right to withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason, through the procedure of the store that is the seller; at purchase the store states how and whether this right applies when content is made available immediately. If the store does not help, write to us and we will.

Send a defect report or complaint to support@onit.sk; include the account e-mail, a description of the problem and what you request. Do not send sign-in codes. We confirm receipt and settle the complaint within 30 days of its submission at the latest. We do not limit statutory liability for defects in digital content and services or your consumer rights.

If we reject a complaint or do not respond within 30 days, you may, under the statutory conditions, submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, ars@soi.sk) or another authorised body listed by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. A consumer living in another EU country may also ask the European Consumer Centre in their country for help. This does not affect your right to go to court.

10. Availability, changes, termination and blocking

The service needs a supported iOS or Android device and an internet connection for sign-in, import and sync; saved recipes, timers and the shopping list also work offline and changes are sent later. Availability may be temporarily limited by maintenance, a fault, an outage of the AI provider, the store, the social network or the site you import from, or by exhaustion of the daily AI budget.

We inform you of a change to these terms or a material change to the service that affects your use or agreed rights in the app or by e-mail at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you disagree with the change, you may delete your account and cancel the subscription before the effective date; the paid period runs out. A new version is not deemed accepted merely because we published it. Statutory conditions for modifying digital content are not affected.

You can delete your account at any time directly in the app; download the basic export first. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: the account, your own household with all its recipes, meal plan, shopping list, photos and source files, and the share links you created are gone. Content you added to a shared household of other members stays with that household. The owner of a multi-member household transfers ownership first. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription in the store (section 7).

In case of a security incident, suspected abuse or a serious breach of these terms we may proportionately restrict or block the affected account or feature; depending on the circumstances we tell you the reason and how to remedy it. This is not a right to arbitrarily withdraw paid performance or delete your data without a legal ground.

11. Liability

We are liable for the proper provision of the service to the extent of the law. We are not liable for the content you upload, for the outcome of cooking from a recipe, or for damage caused by not checking an AI draft as described in section 3, unless it falls under statutory liability that cannot be limited. Third-party sites, posts and stores have their own terms.

12. Law and disputes

The contract is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules of the state of their habitual residence, nor of statutory jurisdiction. If a provision is invalid, the others remain in force.
